Japan is an important commercial partner of Vietnam. At the present, Japan carries out more than 900 FDI projects with the capital of over 9 billions USA in Vietnam. On 29th October afternoon, in Hanoi, Ministry of industry and trade associated with Vietnam – Japan business club holds the conference to introduce the basic regulations of ASEAN – Japan comprehensive economic partnership and Vietnam – Japan economic partnership agreement. This talk created the favorable condition for the two countries to understand each other and take better advantages of incentives regulated in the two agreements.

 The subjects at the conference concentrated on bilateral commercial relationship between Vietnam and Japan; general view of tax commitment, rules and practical issues relating to Vietnam – Japan original certificate as well as some noticeable matters in the two sides’ cooperation.

 “Japan is a significant commercial partner. Especially since the two above agreement took into effects, the economic between the two countries have developed more and more strongly and sustainable. . At the present, Japan carries out more than 900 FDI projects with the capital of over 9 billions USA in Vietnam”. Asia – Pacific market department’s general director of Ministry of Industry and Trade, Mr. Bui Huy Son said.

According to Mr. Bui Huy Son, the two agreements created the consistently legal basis for the two countries. Vietnam expected to approach modern machines via Japanese investment projects in Vietnam as well as help some products such as agricultural products, plastic, processed food and machinery… access to Japanese market. 

Various representatives believed that Japan market is extremely large but fastidious because besides the high demand of product quality, the distribution, services, and hygiene of products is also really difficult. To access better to Japanese market, Vietnamese enterprises need to seize its culture and business customs, make thoroughly use of incentives regulated bilateral and multilateral agreements, especially seize the regulations, hygiene and safety chemistry standard,

At the conference, in the status of the special guest, N&G Corporation’s Executive Chairman represented businessman implementing various development projects with Japanese party to address and raise the question about the issues relating to Vietnam – Japan economic partnership Agreement for representatives of Japanese economic cooperative Organizations in Hanoi. Especially, he emphasized Japanese continuous assistance to Vietnam and the two sides’ further enhancing supporting industry in Vietnam.
