(N&G Corp) In the morning of February 11, 2014, on occasion of the Lunar New Year, President of the SRV Truong Tan Sang paid an official visit to Hanoi Southern Supporting Industrial Park in Dai Xuyen Commune, Phu Xuyen District, Hanoi City, occupied by the Chairman of Hanoi People’s Committee Nguyen The Thao, Chairman of Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry Vu Tien Loc and leaders of Hanoi’s departments and authorities.

Hanoi Supporting Industrial Park (HANSSIP) has the planned area of 640ha and it is expected to be expanded to 2000ha at the southern gateway to Hanoi. Upon stable operation (as designed by the well-known Japanese Nikken Sekkei Corporation), HANSSIP will attract about 3,000 businesses of all sizes and create over 300,000 new jobs, contributing to the annual state budget about 15,000-20,000 billion VND. The Project has high replicability because this is the first specialized supporting industrial park and urban area in Vietnam; at the same time serving as a premise for formation of Phu Xuyen satellite urban area as stated in the approved Hanoi’s Planning.

The Project is currently in leveling and infrastructure construction phase. It is expected that the layout can have been handed over by Quarter II/2014.

At the meeting, the representatives of Hanoi city and Chairman/CEO of N&G Corp (also Chairman of Hanoi Supporting Industry Business Association (HANSIBA)) kindly requested the Government and relevant authorities to consider and approve special incentives for Hanssip to strongly attract SI investors.

According to Mr. Nguyen The Thao - Chairman of Hanoi People’s Committee, Hanssip is a part of Hanoi’s socio - economic development planning by 2020, vision to 2030. He emphasized that HANSSIP needs to compete with other competitors by high quality of service and human resources; at the same time asking the concerned authorities to join hands with N&G Corp to solve pending issues and obstacles during the course of the Project implementation in order to improve competitiveness for this national Project.

Being reported to by the Chairman/CEO of N&G Corp and Hanoi’s departments and authorities, President Truong Tan Sang highly appreciated Hanoi’s guideline for development of supporting industries as well as N&G Corp’s continued efforts during the realization of supporting industry development mission entrusted by the Government and Hanoi city. The President emphasized that development of supporting industries is inevitable path to transition from a processing economy to a production economy, helping our country become an industrialized one by 2020.

Noted the proposals of N&G Corp and HANSIBA, the President requested the concerned authorities to develop and issue as soon as possible special incentives for enterprises investing and operating in supporting industry (which is considered "late" as compared to those of other countries in Southeast Asia), creating the most favorable conditions for the supporting industry development in the coming time.
