Techno Park – Paving the Way Toward International Standards
Accessing Japan’s cutting-edge technologies, utilizing preferential financial resources from the Japanese Government for Japanese enterprises, and fostering high-tech cooperation in manufacturing and supporting industries (SI) are the key advantages of the Techno Park Industrial Complex in Hanoi.

Since Vietnam set new development goals with a high-growth orientation and clear strategic vision under the Party’s resolutions, the business community—especially supporting industry enterprises—has made remarkable progress. Thousands of SI enterprises have successfully penetrated production chains across various sectors, including industry, marine economy, high-tech agriculture, and dual-use products.
In Hanoi alone, there are more than 900 SI enterprises, over 320 of which have production systems and products meeting international standards—capable of supplying to the production networks of multinational corporations in Vietnam, across the region, and around the world.
With a focus on high-tech supporting industry development, in early 2024, the Hanoi Supporting Industry Business Association (HANSIBA), N&G Group, and the Vietnam–Japan Supporting Industry Development Consulting Co., Ltd. signed a cooperation agreement with component manufacturers in Japan’s Kobe Aero Network (KAN) region—spanning aerospace, robotics, power generation, and consumer machinery—to establish the Vietnam–Japan Techno Park at the Hanoi Southern Supporting Industrial Park (HANSSIP).
HANSSIP has been developed as a fully integrated industrial–urban complex, incorporating essential services such as healthcare, education, housing for workers, engineers, and experts, as well as a specialized vocational academy for Vietnam’s supporting industries.
This is Vietnam’s first industrial park dedicated to the development of high-tech supporting industries. Phase 1 of HANSSIP has now been completed and is fully occupied. Investors from Japan, Taiwan (China), and South Korea have established high-standard manufacturing facilities here. Notably, Onaga Co. has invested in and commenced trial operations of Vietnam’s first factory producing components for aerospace, high-speed rail, semiconductor manufacturing equipment, robotics, and dual-use applications. The project follows strict aerospace industry processes and has received technical collaboration from Boeing (USA).
According to Mr. Takayuki Ishida, General Director of Onaga Vietnam, the company aims to manufacture components in Vietnam for export to international markets, supporting the supply chain expansion of Airbus and Boeing. It also seeks to share technologies, manufacturing expertise, and workforce training, contributing to the sustainable development of Vietnam’s domestic supporting industries, with aerospace components “Made in Vietnam” that meet Japanese standards—helping Vietnam strengthen its industrial capabilities and integrate more deeply into global value chains.
Mr. Nguyen Hoang, Chairman of HANSIBA and Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Supporting Industries Association, emphasized that the establishment of Techno Park in Hanoi is expected to realize the goal of ensuring products meet international standards, increasing the localization rate, and paving the way for Hanoi’s supporting industry enterprises to effectively participate in global supply chains.
Mr. Ishikawa Isamu – Deputy Ambassador of Japan to Vietnam:
“The Japanese Government and enterprises support Vietnam’s reform orientation toward a ‘new era’. Japanese businesses are committed to contributing to the enhancement of value-added in Vietnam’s supporting industries by strengthening supply chains, sharing technology and expertise with Vietnamese enterprises, and fostering human resource development.”
